It Takes All Kinds

The name of our new site didn’t really hit me until today. The Second Site. Feel it. Taste it on your tongue. Say it. Now, think about it. What an apt name for this site. Out mothers blog is ‘Everyone Has A Story’ and as a group we were evicted. No notice. Ah, glorious parenthood. The Second Site holds, not only the children of the matriarch site, but the second generation of thought that came from her. Its second sight. Seeing through the eyes of her legacy.

And what a sight that is.

My sister and E have their own styles. Ranging from the utterly silly to the essence of all seriousness. Dj speaks from his heart in a way that allows people to view where it was we came from… he provides a window into out lives making the readers feel like they are part of our family in knowing our secrets and adventures. Me? I clearly speak truth and hide it behind a mask of humor so people don’t feel patronized. (Really, some people are just touchy.)

It isn’t all wit or humor or serious. Our site is like a person. Its fed by numerous voices with varying sides and emotions. Sometimes we upset people, sometimes we make them happy, and sometimes we make them sad. (I never said our site was a good person.) Our thoughts are affected by those that speak to us just as our thoughts touch others.

Believe it or not, we grow on people. Speaking of growing… I have skin infection that needs attention soon. Enough of this shit. (And you thought I was going to go the whole post without cussing.)
